The Winter Citrus Share

24 Weeks, November 25th through May 19th, 2010 at six pickup sites in Nevada County. $12.50 per week ($15.50 to Truckee).

Grown by Chaffin Family Orchards in Oroville, where a unique microclimate allows them to ripen citrus on the tree until harvest, without freezing. Chaffin will provide 24 weeks of organic citrus and a few other fruits from their nearly century-old family farm... their kids are the fourth generation!

You can expect mandarins, navel oranges, ruby and white grapefruit, and lemons over the course of the season. This is primarily a citrus share, but there may also be persimmons and pecans in November.
